About us

Vema, a reliable and
certified partner

VEMA was established in 1994, leveraging the consolidated experience and expertise of our staff in the die sector, which encompasses the manufacture of progressive / transfer / block dies and the cold-forming of sheet metal. We have what it takes to come up with innovative solutions to meet any set of needs or issues that our partners may have.

We also carry out precision machining operations, making the most of our cutting-edge machinery thanks to the input of our experienced technicians.

The technical department utilises state-of-the-art technologies with CAD-CAM-CAE 3D software, to ensure that the design and manufacture of the dies is always at the forefront of technology.

The manufacturing department is equipped with presses that can deliver up to 800 tonnes (mechanical) and 1200 tonnes (hydraulic), complete with automated devices including a decoiler and a roller leveller, for thicknesses up to 12 mm.

The metrological quality laboratory uses computerised DEA CMM 3D stations for three-dimensional measurements, 3D Laser Scanners and all of the instruments required to monitor the qualitative progress of samples, prototypes and manufacturing in the forming department, in line with the quality requirements of our clients.

Since May 2018, we have also implemented company-wide certifications, reaching the new standards as set out in the ISO 9001-2015 and IATF 19649:2016 specifications.

The Quality Assurance Department utilises a computerised DEA metrology system and an array of different tools to monitor the quality standards being achieved and to ensure their compliance.

In September 2016, GEA was set up – a new company with the same owners, same values and same drive towards growth as Vema. GEA arose out of a supplier that had already been providing support for years and was able to increase, as and when required, its manufacturing capacity in the machining field.

OUR SERVICES

DIE DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE

VEMA is able to offer consultancy services and to deliver innovative solutions that fully resolve any issues the client may face. The company’s expert staff and cutting-edge IT equipment enable it to stay in direct touch with the client, which becomes – to all intents and purposes – a PARTNER on the project in question.

STAMPING

The manufacturing department is located on a 15,000m2 site and is equipped with presses that can deliver up to 800 tonnes (mechanical) and 1200 tonnes (hydraulic), complete with automated devices including a decoiler and a roller leveller, for thicknesses up to 12 mm. In addition, the forming department is equipped with a welding area where spot welding is carried out. It also plays host to a robotised plug-and-weld system, where moulded pieces can be manufactured or combined with other pieces and components.

MACHINING

The quality of our machining operations is guaranteed by our operators, whose expertise permits them to tap the potential of the machinery they use. Our numerically controlled machinery includes medium- and large-scale wire EDM, plunge EDM and high-speed milling machinery.

LASER 2D/3D

To offer an additional service, both internally and through outsourcing, the recently acquired 2D / 3D laser cutting line makes it possible for us to manufacture prototypes and to conduct painstaking research and development on profiles and initial samples.
